GGG vs Geale = MiddleWeight Title.

This is going to be a good fight, whether it is a wipe out or competitive affair. If it is a wipe out it will answer a lot of questions about the Mythical Gennady Golovkin(GGG)who is a huge fan favorite on boxing message boards but has never really fought top flight competition.
In Daniel Geale, Golovkin will fight his first real MiddleWeight challenge after a 5 year undefeated run.
I will probably take some time out tonight from cab driving to come home and watch this fight.
Here is a cool HBO promo video for the fight.

The Internet.

Gambling through the mechanism of risk. Releases all kinds of chemicals into the brain just as a drug would. As most drugs ingested internally just manifest themselves by forcing the brain to release various chemicals from the brains internal system that it would ordinarily  released in a different pattern sans the drug (chemical ingested by the human)

The internet acting as the vehicle releasing brain   chemical's  that have been influencing mankind for the last 20 years for better or for worse. The internet like anything it has two sides a positive and negative aspect.
On the upside with the internet a person can communicate and express their ideas to a large audience in a rapid way, on the other hand it limits human communication to a digital format that lacks much of the nuance that face to face interactions have and exacerbates loneliness as humans communicate through plastic ,electricity, and metal in a 2 dimensional format

Ginsberg's vision of a historic movement that would transform human consciousness struck a responsive chord in Leary. "We were thinking far-out history thoughts at Harvard, " the LSD doctor recalled, "believing that it was time (after shallow and nostalgic fifties) for far-out visions, knowing that America had run out of philosophy, that a new empirical, tangible metaphysics was desperately needed, knowing in our hearts that the old mechanical myths  had died at Hiroshima, that the past was over, and that politics could not fill the spiritual vacuum." Leary felt that the limited vision of reality prevailing in modern society was partly attributable to the dominant drugs, alcohol and coffee. Change the drugs and a change of heart would naturally follow: "Politics', religion, economics, social structure based on shared states of consciousness. The cause  of social conflict is usually neurological. The cure is biochemical."

Things I see in the night during my shift driving cab. Lots of tech businesses in the region and in the city of San Francisco. Pretty cool to see these Mozilla offices while I was looking for a public restroom to use.I guess I would call this thing and obelisk.

Some tremblings in the momentum stocks

A couple of good links to the current situation  in the Bay Area.
  http://davidstockmanscontracorner.com/momo-meltdown-singes-san-francisco-housing-bubble/

 http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/dotcon/

Most of the tech stocks in the Bay Area are way over valued. Some are good companies but extremely overvalued and many out right garbage.

What I believed happened was the Federal Reserve created tremendous liquidity with it's QE (Quantitive Easing) policies. The Fed wanted to create a bubble and re inflate the economy and the stock market was it's vehicle for this . To do this it could not use stocks like consumer cyclical aka Johnson and Johnson it needed stocks or the money found stocks that could sustain outrageous PE's (price to earning ratios).
Hence the tech stocks. As far as public policy this was an ok thing, kept economy flowing, kept smart kids working and engaged with system that could be used for bigger things in the future. Now the winds of change seem to be blowing at the Fed as it is making sounds of how it wants to help the economy with a possible paring back of support, and with a new kind of thrust in the direction the elite want the economy to take especially with an array of geo strategic challenges in offing and the need to keep the dollar as the reserve currency a new tact seems to be in wind.

Waiting for Godot

Waiting for the NASDAQ to got down .Every week day I wake up and see how the NASDAQ and the 10 year bond are doing. I figure if the NASDAQ goes down, by cost of living in my tech rich region will not increase.  The 10 year bond part of the equation although not empirical is that I feel that if interest rates rise stock market will go down. It is also indicative of the Federal Reserve not maintaining it's low interest rate policy.

Sergey Kovalev puts on a good show 3/29/14

Light Heavy Weight 175 pound WBO put on a good show Saturday night fighting game but outclassed Cedric Agnew. Fight ended in a 7th round KO with a body punch to Agnew side. Kovalev is one of the most exciting boxers in the game right now, and one of my favorites I hope he keeps up the good work.
Here is a 40 second clip from youtube by HBO highlights of the fight.

Jam Econo - Minutemen

This is cool song that I used to listen to around 1987 from this cool indie band the Minutemen. With Lyrics.

Song Tour Spiel:
Link to song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dCMwwNAhNE

Lyrics:

Born in the shed with the guitar on, we gammed the "schtik" to do for gigs. With the bits and pieces of the working thesis we jammed the "schtik" to do for gigs. We took me and D.Boon's and Georges stench and put them up on stage. We'd fight at practice then go jam econo and spout the tourspeil. I dreamed I was E.Bloom but I woke up Joe Bouchard in some town out on the road.  With patent leather boots on (just like Richard told me),another hack on the "Spectors"  tour. Now you got your guitar and your practice amp you , you travel USA in a van and Troccoli's counting on some situation but how are you going to write the song I demand? And with the guitar turned of and the gas tank empty and the type writer on but my head is empty and to really find me ,Ive got to look inside me and cut the tourspeil

NASDAQ City San Francisco

NASDAQ city San Francisco. The stocks of the overvalued tech stock market such as Google, Apple, Twitter, Facebook have driven property values through the roof in San Francisco.

In a free market sense these companies are mis allocated capital.  In the sense of saving the US system and keeping it functioning they are short term essential to helping in the survival of normalcy in America.

The US sustains it's economy by creating monetary bubbles. The last three bubbles that were blown are the first dot-com boom, followed by the housing boom, followed by this 2.0 tech boom in the Bay Area of California.

This monetary bubble can not be created with stocks that for most part have known earning metrics like Johnson and Johnson say set to grow at 7 percent a year , instead to create the bubble the system needs stocks that have no metrics or metrics that are difficult to gauge so a very large monetary bubble can be created. This money is distributed to society at large by the tech people in the form of going to restaurants and buying houses . In the Bay Area region though this creates imbalances such that the workers needed to sustain the infrastructure for the city  and provide services to  these wealthy recipients of the tech bubble are being priced out of the region.

Vasyl Lomachenko vs Salido

I guess it is fitting in a way that the Ukraine has taken over global headlines in a scary way that on a more positive note one of its exports is one of the worlds best boxers in only his second professional fight.
Vasyl Lomachenko 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist will fight rugged 33 year old veteran Orlando Salido for Salido's 126 pound WBO title this Saturday March 1. This fight is the one that I a most interested in seeing that has been scheduled this year.  I will be pulling for Lomachenko but I do think his people are rushing him a little as I think he should get used to the longer professional fight distances this fight is scheduled for 12 rounds as amateur fights are 3 rounds in length. The Usual time for top amateur fighter to fight for a title is usually about 12-15 fights though it sometimes happens quicker this is a especially quick learning curve for Lomachenko but I eagerly look to see if he can pull of the high wire act.

Ukraine??

So what happens to the Ukraine? Does it get split down the middle new polity created in the west that is pro EU/USA and the Eastern half pro Russian country created that is eventually incorporated into Russia? With maybe Russia willing to step aside or throw the West a bone in some other region of the world? one can only can take wild guesses at the  volatile situation that is unfolding in that country.

CPUC Fails To Adequately Protect Californians With Weak TNC Law.

The CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission.) Has failed to adequately protect Californians with it's passage of weak regulation on TNC(Transportation Network Carriers)Companies like like Uberx, Lyft, Sidecar whose drivers carry inadequate insurance to pay for any liabilities they incur for more information see the sfbg.com article link below to an article explaining the situation of people being injured and not being able to get compensation for their injuries.
It is kind of ironic that by making such weak regulations, the CPUC has made itself irrelevant by basically saying anything goes and nothing can be enforced due to it's unrealistic law of insurance coverage implemented on TNC's and the ability to enforce the law it has implemented due to limited number of regulators.
I suspect in the end the free market  in the form of insurance companies and state regulation in the form of DMV will step in to make a rule that people driving with insurance policies that are not appropriate will be stripped of their driving privileges.

Language and its' importance in the ability to think, and how we think.

English  is  a West German type of language with lots of Latin, Greek, romance language vocabulary, it is a major language of modern Western Civilization.
Western Civilization is not just a race, but a way thinking , born organically , in deep system of race, topography, climate,  religion, family system etc.

Something I Learned While Watching TV.

I was watching a boxing telecast. One of the announcers was former heavyweight champion George Foreman. George said that boxing great Archie Moore told him " Plan your work , work your plan".
These words for me been the basis of how I have tried to live me life. Plan my work work my plan. Doesn't mean I can't "let go and let God" or make adjustments along the way but that folk wisdom of Archie Moore makes great sense to me.

I Still Believe In Angels..

I have no problem with reconciling God, Angels and Evolution, I believe in all three. I do believe that God can intercede and  has whenever he has wanted to in the flow of life.
